A gated residential enclave in the SouthPark area of Charlotte, North Carolina — off Sharon Road, near the Fairview Road corridor, in Mecklenburg County. Here is how it sits relative to everything people ask about.

Reviewed and updated by the Morrocroft Estates Guide editorial team

Morrocroft Estates is a private, gated community of roughly ninety custom estates in the SouthPark area of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Its entrance is off Sharon Road, one of the two arterials — with Fairview Road — that organize the SouthPark district. Interior streets are private and carry no through traffic, which is why the community reads as remote even though the region’s densest luxury retail cluster is minutes away.

The most common point of confusion is the district itself. SouthPark is an area of Charlotte, not a subdivision: a commercial core surrounded by residential neighborhoods of varying eras and structures. Morrocroft Estates is one gated community inside that area — related to SouthPark by geography, not identical to it. The SouthPark location guide covers that relationship in depth.
